Viking Embroidery

This is me wearing one of my older outfits with some new embroidery. The embroidery is made with hand dyed waxed linen yarn. The pattern I used is frequently used on gotlandic picture stones.

I'll be posting a close up on the embroidery soon.

The kyrlte is based on the Skjoldehamn find and made from rugged wool. The tablet braids are made from red, grey and white wool.The trousers are made from linen and based on a find from Thorsbjerg. The leg wraps are handwoven wool in diamond twill and made by a very talanted woman from Foteviken. I'm also wearing a pair of comfy slippers
