Also, allt man ser här är så vettlöst fint, och din egen utrustning inte minst. Dendär bilden på dehär kläderna som ligger på HVs forum är nog det som fick mig att på allvar inse hur genomstiligt det kan vara med vikingatid. Tackar för inspiration och awesomeness!

Hej!

Kul att du gillar bilderna och kläderna. Föreningen
ligger i ide tills i februari så det händer inte
så mycket på på vikingafronten just nu. Hantverksabstinensen
brukar komma igång strax innan jul. Synd att HV ligger nere,
hoppas att Henrik får upp sidan igen.

Tack för beröm och uppmuntran. Fortsätt med vikingeriet =)

Ja, det var så urbota dumt. Men jag kan iof se en guldkant på det ändå, för det känns som att reenactmentsverige höll på att bli aningen inavlat där, inte minst när det kommer till just vikingerier, där jag kan anse att folk är sjukt anala.

The outfits are fabulous, so detailed :wow: All of your work is very inspirational to me :)

And i was just wondering if you could help me out :D I am a writer (though i dont upload much on DA... :D) and have been writing a LOT about vikings lately :) And i cant seem to find it anywhere but... why exactly do you wear those cute little leather shoes, and then baggy pants. But bind whatever-that-is :XD: (can you tell me what that is too?) around your lower leg? Is there a specific reason? Or is it just comfort..? Would be most appreciative if you could tell me :) Thank you

These leather shoes are not historical (i sometimes use them in summer). The baggy pants are made from linen. They are commonly depicted on gotlandic picture stones and figure in some arabic texts concerning viking clothing. The are usually made from several meters of fabric (this pair has 9,5 meters of fabric).

I'm not sure about your last question. My lowerlegs and ankles have leg wrappings wrapped around them. The leg wrappings are made from wool and are fastende with a small bronze hook (barely visible in this pic: [link]) . The wrapping serves as comfort and as substitute for thicker pants.
