This is my wife Kerstin wearing her gotlandic low status kit. The pattern of the shield is taken from a gotlandic piture stone.

This is a great picture, too. I love the detail in all your work.

I really, really love this outfit (and the 'Viking Girl' one). What patterns do you guys use/base your clothing off of? (The 'Vikingatida Historiska Världars' resources?) I'm mainly interested in learning what she uses for the gown/undergown (I have lots of info on the "apron dress", but not as much luck with the main dress!).

Hi! Sorry for the late answer =(.

We use lots of different patterns from lots of different finds. Most of the stuff from "Historiska Världar" is great (beware of the "bag" and "boots" though. They are not only speculative but also a very unlikely interpretation).

The undergown my wife wears in this pic is based on Russian and Finnish finds. Check out the sites below, the should be enough for you.

The kit she is wearing in "Viking Girl" is (I'm sad to say) now hopelessly unhistorical. The apron dress is made from the wrong material and all the colors are wrong =).

Do not hesitate to ask if you have more questions.

Thanks for your taking an interest in what we do =)
